The underground pick-up artist community made famous by Dr.Phil, VH1 and Rolling Stone writer Neil Strauss in his book “The Game” has seen one of it’s own go to jail on New Years Eve, following an incident that left a 20 year old woman shot in the face and in critical condition last Saturday in a shooting. The shooting took place in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Klamath Falls Police and witnesses say Allen Robert Reyes 35, who is known in the pick-up artist community as “Gunwitch” got into an argument with Amber Tripp 20, and shot her in the face. Gunwitch was arrested about 3 blocks from the scene and arrested on a variety of charges including assault, unlawful use of a firearm and the charges are now being brought up to attempted murder.

If convicted, Allen Gunwitch is facing hard time. Police say alcohol and drugs were present at the party and may have been involved in the shooting. Although the causes of the argument and details are unknown right now, they are bound to surface sooner or later.

On the internet his followers and fans are shocked and a few even seem distraught, one of them types “I’m gutted about this” on the Gunwitch podcast forum. Other forums such as the anti-pick-up artist forum PUAHATE.com express joy and happiness at the incident. Ridicule of Allen “Gunwitch” Reyes takes the form of insults, memes, and expressions of anger and accusations of Gunwitch being a “scammer” and a “pua fraud”. Other memes have appeared such as the words “Blast through LMR” (pick up term for disarming a woman’s resistance to sex”) over Over Allen Gunwitch’s mugshot. More are sure to come.

The more malicious of his opposers have taken to collecting “evidence” of Gunwitch being “creepy”, “dangerous”, a “sociopath” via downloading his e-books and youtube videos (one which includes an intoxicated Gunwitch playing with guns and talking about using them) and sending them to Klamath County’s District Attorney’s office in attempts to ensure a conviction for Gunwitch. As one user said “he’s going down!”

Reyes sells a product called Way Of Gun on his website, in which he teaches men how to seduce women in the mall or the street using what the community calls “cold approach pick up”. Cold approach is all about walking up to women who strike your fancy and attempting to seduce them. In Way Of Gun he talks about a concept he calls “sexual state” and how to use it to make a woman horny.

In the pick up community, one of Gunwitch’s soundbites is”make the ho say no” in reference to being persistent and only stopping your advances once you hear a solid “no” from the woman.

The victim Amber Tripp has upgraded from critical to serious condition. She has an arrest record that includes meth-related charges and she is said to have been arguing with Reyes shortly before the shooting.

One local witness said that it might have been a “drug deal gone bad”. The area of Klamath Falls is no stranger to the ravages of drugs and drug related crime. While not super high crime statistics wise, Klamath police have stated that the area where the shooting took place has had many such incidents in the past.
